Co.Lab Connect: RUOK? Day​

Is was such a beautiful morning at the Byford Country Club for our first Connect event for RUOK? Day. Our guest speakers, Colin from Isalife, Tasch from Your Safe Place Psychology & Alison from Touching Hearts Counselling were incredible - thank you for tackling your public speaking nerves and for sharing your professional perspectives with us. The discussions were open, honest, insightful and non-judgmental. Despite the heavy topic, we feel everyone left feeling confident & connected.

R U OK? Day isn’t just about one day -  it is all about recognising the power of meaningful connections and starting conversations ANY day with those who might be struggling. You don’t need to be an expert - just a caring person and a great listener.

If you ever need to chat, our door is always open -  we are all friends here - no judgement.

Co.Lab 1st Birthday & Member Day​

Our Birthday/Member Open Day was a fantastic end to the month! We kicked things off with a bubbly champagne breakfast with a somewhat questionable fondue fountain. It was a cozy gathering with a mix of new and familiar faces, and we had some great discussions about how to boost our Networking Group and support everyone’s business ideas. It was energizing to see everyone exchanging ideas, and we’ve got some exciting plans in the works!

In the afternoon, we had a laid-back sundowner with even more new faces and returning friends, where we relaxed, chatted, and got to know each other better.

We are all so proud of Jacqui & her hard work & determination to make this a success for the community!

Biggest Morning Tea

We had an amazing time bringing the community together for such a great cause at our Biggest Morning Tea.

We are incredibly lucky to have such a strong & supportive network, without them wouldn’t have been able to pull off such a success morning - a MASSIVE thank you to all of you helped decorate, provided raffle prizes, food, music, support…you know who you are!

Our final tally was just over $900, just shy of our $1000 goal but we are super proud to get so close & have so many in attendance. Watch this space for 2025!

Co.Lab Speed Networking Night

Our first Speed Networking Night was a great success with both familiar faces & new faces attending which was perfect practice for the group. Jacqui started off with a Perfect Your Business Pitch workshop, before we started the Speed Networking rounds & introducing your businesses to everyone.

Investing in your business and expanding your network is always a smart move...& with us, it can also be a bit of fun as well!  Don’t be shy, come to our next once.

International Womens Day

Our Women in Business Showcase on Friday...dare we say it...was a f%@king success baby 

Being a bit serious for a minute, we'd like to thank:
- The incredible business women who came along as vendors - they trusted us that this could work & committed whole heartedly to the event...without them, there would not have been an event.
- The amazing local community who wondered in throughout the day to it check out.
- The Co.Lab crew, who continuously liked/shared/commented on our Socials to spread the word, you guys rock!

We are so damn proud of the Women, the community & well, ourselves too!
It was a hard slog to bring everything together, but yewwwww we did it! We absolutely love the growing business community we are building down here.

Inaugural Open Night

Our inaugural networking event was an absolute hit! We had a fantastic time bringing the community together in a laid-back setting brimming with laughter and valuable connections.

One member ended up with 2 new contracts, another received a direct job & one had their product stocked in a local supermarket!
